History

For more than 15 years, the Rencontres de Chimie Organique bring together young chemists from the Paris area (PhD students, post-docs and permanent investigators) and allow them to share their research results. These annual meetings were initiated by Prof. Gérard Cahiez, whose memory will be honored this year, with the support of the Ile-de-France section of the French Chemical Society (SCF).  

From their creation, the RCO have taken place at several universities and research centers of Ile-de-France, and have attracted an impresive number of internationally recognized plenary speakers:
